Louisiana Beef Picnic

On Wednesday, August 21st, Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse is once again transforming itself into an indoor picnic, featuring Louisiana grass-fed beef from Gonsoulin Cattle Ranch, and Louisiana Wagyu from Raines Farm.  

The Gonsoulin Family has been raising cattle outside New Iberia since 1770. Their grass-fed beef is raised sustainably and without antibiotics or growth hormones. Mangham, Louisiana’s Raines Farm has the largest herd of Wagyu cattle in the state. Raines Farm cattle are humanely raised, vegetarian fed, as well as hormone and antibiotic free.

Chefs from Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse, Palace Café, Bourbon House and Tableau will expertly prepare various cuts of Louisiana beef to showcase their creativity. In true Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse fashion, they will use local ingredients, adding depth of flavor to each slice of beef.  Of course, a Louisiana picnic would not be complete without libations.  Once again Glenfiddich Whisky is joining in the festivities and will be offering specialty cocktails and tastings. Local craft beer provided by Gnarly Barley and Parish Brewery will be served as well as wine and non-alcoholic drinks. 

Tickets are $85 a person and include food, drink and gratuity. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation.
