NEW ORLEANS, LA – November 6, 2008 – On Friday, November 21, Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse reaches the double digits! That’s right, it was 10 short years ago, that the restaurant opened in the French Quarter. A milestone of this nature calls for a celebration. To mark this momentous occasion, $10 bottles of DB Cabernet and a $19.98 anniversary entrée will be served all day and night! Chef Jack Martinez’ $19.98 Blackened Prime Rib with a roasted garlic Worcestershire demi-glace proudly features the best local ingredients. And the DB Cabernet is a house favorite that will pair perfectly with the Blackened Prime Rib or any of our other “prime” selections.
The idea behind Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse had been bounced around since the 1970’s. Dickie and his father, Dick (of Commander’s Palace fame), had talked about opening a New Orleans style steakhouse that only served the finest cuts of beef. Good things come to those who wait, and it was over 20 years later that the dream was realized. In 1998 Dickie, along with his sister, Lauren and their business partner, Steve Pettus, found their location for Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse—a parking garage!
With a lot of vision and hard work, the only subterranean restaurant in New Orleans was born on November 21, 1998, serving USDA Prime beef with a New Orleans touch. That touch is evident throughout the menu: Creole butter, jumbo shrimp, lump crabmeat and fried P&J Oysters atop filets…everywhere you look on the menu, you’ll find a taste of New Orleans.
Today, Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse ranks among the top steakhouses in the country, and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Maxim Magazine, Playboy, and Wine Spectator. Locals have voted and Citysearch New Orleans and Gambit Weekly, have recognized that it’s a favorite.
